Hello, this is my first post for term four. In class I have done poetry and learned about Mondrian art and the estuary. I have created a Google drawing showing many features of an estuary. I also learned about Mondrian art its base off 3 colors red, blue and yellow it also uses black lines thin or thick. I hope you had fun reading this.

Hello people, A few days ago there was a talent show a lot of people were in it me and my friend were dancing to something funny ( I mean stupid funny) and also for writing I am doing some narrative writing (well I mean writing task) and at tech I am trying to make a Lego stop motion with a couple of friends. I did a canva on growth mindset vs fixed mindset.

So at technology we made some pasta and meatballs I added ALOT of cheese on mine I made the meatballs (What i mean by I made the meat balls is I had to mix all of the ingredients for the meatballs IT WAS SOO WEIRD) and my friend made the sauce and the pasta for it –Music At music I am on my green wristband and have been doing it for three years now. (And I need four more wrist bands since there was five that I had earned) -Skateboarding Soo at skateboarding the first time I fell off (AND IT DAMM HURT LIKE HELL CUZ I FELL) but the last time I did not fall off. |
So we did Matariki work and we recorded a video (its down below) and it was about Matariki stuff
-Technology
So at technology, we made some butter chicken pies (I goddamm burned myself with the oil and put onion in my eye and it REALLY HURT) and next week I am making chocolate cupcakes with a caramel egg. (Do you guys say cupcakes or muffins?)

At music, I am on my green wristband and have been doing it for three years. (And I need four more wristbands since there were five that I had earned AND I HAVE TWO AND A HALF MORE YEARS TILL I LEAVE SCHOOL)

Soo skateboarding the first time I fell off (AND IT DAMM HURT LIKE HELL BECAUSE I FELL) but the last time I did not fall off.
-Maths test
So yesterday I had a basic facts test and I passed on to stage 7 it was really fun and it was really hard (IT WAS REALLY EASY AND NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH STAGE 7)

Maths:
I am learning my 3,4,6,7,8 and 9 times tables and division and I have also improved my basic fact test by 4. In statistics, I learned to study data by making stem and leaf graphs and strip graphs. And now I’m learning about measurements.
Writing:
For writing, I did a report and you could have done any topic like animals, countries or a natural disaster I picked to do a cyclone.
Inquiry:
For inquiry, I learned about ANZAC Day I did a perspective art, statistics/infographic (The infographic is down below)

What I found hard about this work is that I had to put in a lot of effort with them all. I would have put more effort into them all and it was very fun to do them.

This year I have had many challenges and successes like in term three we had a production we had to do dances. I had a role so I had to speak and sing with other people. I had to get used to speaking in front of many people. For the school dance, I did Cotten eye joe. It was fun because I had to dress up for the production and the dance and I had to put on makeup like lipstick, eyeshadow and mascara.
We also had a colour run. We had to wear white clothes or old clothes that we don’t care to get messy. It was fun. We had to run around the bottom field with obstacle courses. We all got colours thrown at us but first, we had to get wet so it would stick better to the clothes some of it got in my eyes. It kind of hurt but in the first place, it was fun.
Last term we had a Matariki thing where we had to wake up really early in the morning and drive to school. We looked at the Matariki stars and we had a yummy breakfast and milo. And we had to get dressed in warm clothes and some people didn’t wear warm clothes but wore a blanket or an oddie. It was very cold and it got hot in the afternoon.
How was your year?
This week we have been learning about three different types of mammals. The three types are Placental mammals, Marsupials mammals and Monotremes mammals ( Btw I was sick when everyone started it). We have to do an infographic on canva we all have to do a plan before we do the canva. It was fun doing the plan ( I’m doing mine on seals). Do you like the types of mammals?
The learning was fascinating because I found this fact on google which said Russia to be 56 years for the female Baikal seal (Phoca sibirica) and 52 years for the male based on cementum layers in the canine teeth.
(Friday 4th November)
Hi guys we did a Tusmani walk in the morning. We waited for a long time, had our shoes on in class (so we didn’t waste time), and had our hats on. We did it so that when a real Tusmani happens we know what to do and we also got an ice block when we got back to school. It almost made me melt because it was so hot. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SO DAM HOT!
